The legal tolerances specified in the prepackaged wares ordinance (FPVO) define the permitted deviations in prepackaged goods and form a quality criterion for the manufacturer – in addition to the many product-related features. Rhewa (Mettmann, Germany) offers three solutions for monitoring and maintaining product weight. The 82C-2 evaluation unit is a simple stand-alone solution. A product is manually placed on it and its weight, which is recorded either automatically or by hand, is included in the statistics. When the batch or number of samples has been completed, the final evaluation is carried out and printed. The intelligence of the FPVO statistics is found in the scale’s evaluation device/terminal.
In this convenient version, each sample is checked to determine whether an increase in the unit weight is necessary so as not to jeopardize the overall statistics. The visualization is carried out via an integrated traffic light system. In addition to the printout of the statistics, they can be transferred to a USB stick, which is protected against dust and water and located directly above a flap on the device. The data record structure is in CSV format by default but can be adapted to the respective EDP requirements for entry, processing, or storage. In addition, this version allows production line recording or parallel handling of several products at once. This solution can be implemented with the 83sigma or 84vario evaluation unit. In the version with direct EDP coupling, the data is stored in an SQL database in the DataLog software and is available to the customer system (ERP/goods management system). For internal statistical checks, tolerances can be stored and edited.
