Grinding and separating in one

The grinding system made by Vemag (Verden, Germany) is an attachment that directly integrates the grinding and separating process into filling and portioning. The company has thus come up with the term “fill-grinding” to describe the combination of filling and grinding.

The manufacturer consistently pursues the concept of creating a flexible modularized system. The user does not need a specially adapted machine for every application. All applications are based on the proven drive concept of the Robot HP series vacuum filler. All machines in this series feature the Vemag double-screw, which guides the product gently, has low maintenance costs and high flexibility.

As with a conventional meat grinder, the double screws in the fillers directly drive the knife shaft in the grinder components. Grinding and separating are thus directly incorporated into the filling and portioning process. Because the double-screw directly drives the grinders, no additional grinder drive is required. This is why no synchronization settings for the filler and grinder drive are needed, which makes it impossible for operators to make the wrong settings. In addition, the patented Vemag blade set parts are adapted to the respective application so that grinding and separating are optimally coordinated with the filling process. The grinding and separating results are always reproducible.

All components of the grinding system can be combined with an automatic separator that enables PC-controlled separation of hard parts. Such hard parts, like bone and sinew, are automatically removed at regular intervals via a separation valve.

The combination of double screw and filler-grinder offers various advantages. In addition to simplifying work processes, the standardization of products as regards their fineness, fat distribution, drying, clarity, color stability and product safety are significantly improved, according to the manufacturer.
