Frozen meat grinders from Seydelmann (Stuttgart, Germany) cut whole blocks of frozen meat into pieces that can easily be handled by cutters, which enables efficient further processing. Optimal grinding achieves the best possible feed into the cutter. Frozen blocks are ground in two steps. The robust worm, with its elongated winding, peels off about 8 cm from the frozen block at every turn. This pre-cut material is then transported to the blade set for further cutting. The frozen meat grinders have a two-speed drive and are also suitable for grinding other frozen food products such as fish, vegetables, cheese and fruit.
A new generation of Seydelmann Universal Wolves now cuts both fresh meat and frozen meat blocks down to –25 °C without changing the screw or blade set. Starting immediately, only one machine is needed for grinding fresh and frozen meat – yet despite fluctuating meat prices, the user can be more flexible than ever, according to Seydelmann. The four speeds of the feed screw and six speeds of the working screw can be set independently and continuously with the Command 500 control system. This enables the optimum processing speed for any material, for the best meat cross-section at a very effective hourly performance.
It’s good to know that all Seydelmann cutters with bowl sizes over 325 l can process entire blocks of frozen meat due to their robust construction and powerful motors.
