Kärcher (Winnenden, Germany) is now launching its first profi-class battery-powered wet/dry vacuum cleaner, the NT 22/1 Ap Bp L. This cordless vacuum cleaner shows its strengths where there are no or very few power sockets, where cleaning must be carried out quickly in different places, or where cables are a tripping hazard.

According to the manufacturer, the NT 22/1 Ap Bp L can be used for up to 31 minutes at full power thanks to the maintenance-free lithium-ion battery (36 Volt). The user sees the remaining time on an LCD display on the battery. The quick charger gets the cleaner up to an 80 percent charge after just under an hour.

Battery-powered vacuum cleaners save up to 20 percent of working time compared to models with cords. There is no need to replug or search for electric sockets when changing rooms, and tiresome winding and unwinding of cords is no issue at all. Another advantage – no cords means no tripping.

The wet/dry vacuum cleaner is easy to transport and suitable for mobile use thanks to its low weight of 8.8 kilograms and compact dimensions. It reliably absorbs liquids as well as coarse dirt or fine dust. The model is certified for dust class L; the built-in cellulose filter handles dust class M with a collection efficiency of 99.9 percent. The filter is cleaned by activating a button on the device. The suction power remains constant while the airflow is briefly reversed and the dirt blown from the filter into the container. This eliminates annoying cleaning by hand.
