The KWM 350 and KWM 500 container washers from Kohlhoff-Hygienetechnik (Unna, Germany) can clean up to 350 or 500 standard containers (sizes E1, E2 and E3), depending on the model and at optimal throughput speeds.
Containers are washed in the main cycle by powerful injectors with water heated to a maximal 45 °C via the integrated thermostat-regulated 18 kW heating unit. Detergent can be added manually or by an automatic dosing pump. The containers are subsequently rinsed and sterilized with warm water of at least 85 °C.
Permanent wastewater exchange takes place with the rinse water. A removable filter frees the water in the circuit from larger pieces of residue. Thanks to the removable hood and inspection opening, the machinery can be easily cleaned and maintained. If the integrated continuous-flow water heater (optional) is used, it must be connected to an existing warm water supply with a flow temperature of at least 50 °C. To reduce residual moisture, both machines can be equipped with an optional blow-dryer module. The available configuration options include “Overhead” for one-person operation, speed regulation as well as a steam-heated version.
