Inotec manufactures innovative mixing and emulsification technology for food processing. Tying and separating machines for sausage manufacturing complete the product range. The company was founded in 1988 and employs about 270 people at four sites in Reutlingen and Herzebrock-Clarholz (Germany), Hluk (Czech Republic) and Saverne (France).
As an independent company within the Handtmann Group, Handtmann Maschinenfabrik develops and produces filling and portioning systems for food production and is the global leader in the meat processing sector according to information from the company.
The acquisition will enable the realisation of automated production lines across several process steps. “In this way, we can offer our customers significant added value while also strengthening the international sales and service structures of both companies. We also see synergies in developing additional fields of application outside the meat processing sector. Both companies and particularly our customers will benefit from this,” explained company director Thomas Handtmann. Inotec will continue under the operational leadership of the current company management. Frank Gekeler, managing director of Inotec, is pleased: “Since 2017 there have already been a number of successful sales cooperations in the US and Canada and since last year in Russia as well. The products complement one another very well and the philosophies of both companies are in accord regarding quality, innovation and culture. Being part of the Handtmann Group lays the foundation for the long-term positive development of Inotec, creating outstanding prospects for both our customers and our employees.” The acquisition of Inotec is subject to approval under German competition law.
