Ishida (Schwäbisch Hall, Germany) has expanded its CCW-RVE multi-head weigher series with the addition of models with 24 heads. The manufacturer offers a total of 60 new weighers that also have incorporated the Powerful Frequency Controlled Vibration (PFCV) technology for the first time. The machines are suitable for mixed applications with mid-range performance.

The 24-head CCW-RVE weighers process product mixtures with up to six components with a high degree of precision. For mono-products, 120 cycles per minute are reached. Ishida has fitted the new models with PFCV technology, which, according to the manufacturer, guarantees a unique level of control over the product flow – even with sticky or bulky foods. The system automatically controls the amplitude and frequency of the vibration so that the trays are evenly loaded and more suitable weight combinations are available. The bottom line is maximum output with minimal overfilling, according to the company. Another advantage of the PFCV technology is that the weighers can be adjusted to different types of product using the Remote Control Unit immediately and without mechanical intervention. The new models in the CCW-RVE series can be customised for individual requirements. Ishida offers a large selection of feed components, single and double opening trays in various sizes as well as contact materials and coatings. The weighers in the waterproof version have sensors that signal penetration of moisture or extreme temperatures during production. The scope of delivery includes the Sentinel software, a web-based program that enables real-time monitoring of the production output, very much in the spirit of the smart factory.
