Baho Food buys Henri van de Bilt
Baho Food (Emmerich am Rhein, Germany) has taken over the Dutch company Henri van de Bilt Vleeswaren retroactively to January 1, 2009. Together with Vital convenience GmbH and the Gelderland Frischwaren GmbH, Baho Food produces and sells high-quality convenience foods and meat products throughout Europe. The new purchase will enable Baho Food to increase its product assortment of sliced and cubed meat products and specialties.
Because Henri van de Bilt Vleeswaren is primarily active on the Dutch market, Baho Food’s other companies will now have access to this market. Simultaneously, Henri van de Bilt Vleeswaren’s products will now be offered on the German market and in further European countries via its new sister companies. Takeover of Henri van de Bilt Vleeswaren not only strengthens Baho Food by optimally supplementing its products and outlets, but also from the possibilities for future cooperation in production and product development between the two companies as well as from increased synergies in quality management and purchasing and greater efficiency in sales and marketing. With this takeover, the consolidated annual revenue of Baho Food will reach circa Euro 80 million. The preservation of all jobs has great significance. Through the use of the new options, Baho Food has announced that it will continue to grow and be able to increase the number of its employees.
