Light speciality ham

The Höhenrainer Delikatessen ­GmbH (Großhöhenrain, Germany) recommends its fine, speciality turkey ham “Puten-Lachsschinken” as a special handmade highlight. This high-quality raw ham product is made from selected cuts of tender breast meat. It develops its distinct flavour, with a hint of juniper, after an intensive curing period and delicate cold smoking. With only two percent fat, Puten-Lachsschinken offers a high-quality, genuine meat product for festive menus.

Another delicacy from Höhenrainer is its savoury, dark turkey ham “Puten-Wacholderschinken” made from turkey thigh. Seasoned with juniper and hot-smoked, this ham product is very juicy. It is also excellent when heated as a whole roast: simply wrap it in aluminium foil, roast for approx. 40 minutes at 170 °C (with a bowl of water in the oven) or heat it directly in hot sauerkraut, red cabbage or kale – an ideal meal for cold winter days.

The ham products produced by Höhenrainer contain no allergens, gluten or lactose and, according to the manufacturer, are made with a high level of craftsmanship from the finest ingredients.
