Gentle vacuum for pressure-sensitive foods

The V.400 vacuum unit in the Premium Line from Landig + Lava (Bad Saulgau, Germany) has proven itself for food packaging thanks to its performance and flexibility, among other features. Powerful sealing transformers prevent the unit overheating and enable long periods of use of more than a thousand sealing processes at a time. The high-performance LTP Lava Turbo pump system generates a high vacuum in the process. The strong triple sealed seam also guarantees a 100 percent leak-proof seal even with a slightly increased liquid fraction, according to the manufacturer. Thanks to the patented LCS Lava Close System, the vacuum lid no longer has to be held or latched in place while the vacuum is being generated.

The compact V.400 vacuum unit can seal films with different thicknesses and a width of up to 460 mm thanks to the continuously variable sealing time. With the L+ Pressure Regulation and the precise manometer display for the vacuum control, a gentle vacuum for pressure-sensitive foods and liquids can also be set. The vacuum generation and sealing process can be carried out manually or fully automatically as required.

“All Lava products are produced for a long service life,” said Christian Landig, Managing Director of Landig + Lava. The company also emphasises sustainable production of its equipment. The maintenance-free vacuum unit with its high quality stainless steel housing has an automatic cooling system for the sealing belt and electronic ventilation of the vacuum chamber. A liquid separator and a fixed integrated pan protect the pump from liquids, dust and particles.
