For the marking of materials under difficult conditions, Rea Jet (Mühltal, Germany) recommends the DOD large-character inkjet printer. It tolerates vibrations and extreme temperature fluctuations and is protected from dirt and moisture by an IP65-rated housing. The robust system is also available with a heated print head, in a compact design and as a special version for potentially explosive atmospheres. The printing range includes numbers, text and graphics, as well as 1D barcodes and 2D Data Matrix codes.
The drop-on-demand system offers non-contact printing for a variety of surfaces, such as cardboard, plastic, glass, metal and wood, at speeds of up to 300 metres per minute. The print heads are available with 7, 16 or 32 nozzles, and each can print characters up to 140 mm in height. For larger fonts, several print heads are combined. With a range of more than 400 different inks and marking paints, the printers can be adapted to the applicable requirements.
The print head nozzles are cleaned without a separate flushing system, simply with the touch of a button. The system can be quickly and easily expanded, thanks to its modular design. The printing module is either used as a stand-alone printer or integrated as a component in comprehensive systems with connection to higher-level modules.
