ES-Plastic (Passau, Germany) has developed a transparent ribbed tray of recyclable polypropylene for fine pasta creations, Swabian meat turnovers or meat dishes such as Zurich ragout. According to the manufacturer, the new pasta tray has a number of positive features: PP is absolutely taste-neutral, highly resistant to breakage and stable in form. Its design is likewise attractive. A minimally dimpled rib structure, the completely flat bottom and the unusual form with its strongly rounded corners make this tray stand out from conventional models. Depending on the product amount, two sizes of trays are available: 230 x 180 x 30 mm or 230 x 180 x 50 mm. The volume of these trays is either 889 ml or 1,459 ml and is adequate for up to two persons. MAP packaging is foreseen, which increases the shelf-life of the product. If desired, however, a fitting lid can also be made. There are no limits to the color choice because except for the transparent standard design, all color tones and special colors can be produced. Thanks to A/B stacking, the trays are ideal for machine processing because they do not jam.
